After a hugely successful four day extravaganza last year, Fish and Whips Burlesque contest is back by popular demand; celebrating the best of Burlesque in Berlin! This four day event celebrates the rich history of Burlesque here in Berlin from the classic striptease act right through to the avant garde. After our sold out 4 day run last July the audience and panel voted for their top 3 acts:

3rd place - Betty Badda-Boo
2nd place – Operalesque
1st place – Les Femmes Brachiales

And now we're back with another contest and this year it's going to be even BIGGER!

Fish&Whips Founder Jack Woodhead

Jack Woodhead is an entertainer and pianist based in Berlin. He studied classical piano and musical theatre in England and later graduated with a degree in Music Performance with Theatre Practices. Jack has worked for both stage and screen as an actor and musician and relishes the opportunity within ‘cabaret’ to fuse these different musical and performance styles.

The Bar Comedy Club Kookaburra in the art scene district of Prenzlauer Berg offers live entertainment every night of the week. Well-known national and international cabaret artists from all genres provide thigh-slappingly good entertainment. In colourful mixed shows, moderators offer a kaleidoscope of acts and surprise guests for their expectant audience.

Miss Moss has always found corsets alluring, and after her fashion design degree at university was finished, she went on to create her own line, aptly named Miss Moss Corsets. Naturally, as corsets were such an integral part of historical dress, costumes followed. Having taught corset-making courses at Linkle Stitch’n’Bitch café for a couple of years now, she’ll be bringing the same enthusiasm for sharing the art of corsetry to a new series of courses in costume design!
